Protection from frost : From April 1st to May 15th each year night-time frosts are a serious threat, and we have two techniques for protecting the vines.

	Oil-fired braziers A system of heating dispersed among the rows of vines to heat the air around the vine plants.
		Spraying The local authority (commune) created an artificial lake to help combat frost damage by spraying. The technique consists of icing up the burgeons, which, thus insulated, are protected from further falls in temperature.
